How do I send feedback from the app?
Send us a question, a bug, an idea or something you love from inside PugWriter, with a marked-up screenshot if it helps.
Before you start
- Be signed in to PugWriter if you want a reply. Anonymous feedback can't be answered.
Steps
Click the Feedback button in a corner of the window.
The Feedback button floats in a corner of the window. Type your message in Your feedback. Say what you did, what you expected and what happened.
Pick the kind of message: Question, Bug, Feature Request, Idea, Something I love or Something else.
A short message with Bug picked. To show us what you see, click Include screenshot. PugWriter takes a picture of its own window.
In Mark up the screenshot, drag over anything private to hide it. Cover is picked to begin with, and it hides the text completely.
Click Arrow and drag to point at the problem. Rectangle, Ellipse, Draw and Text work the same way, and Select moves a mark you've made.
A Cover box over the sidebar and an arrow pointing at the status bar. Click Review to see exactly what will be sent.
Click Send as followed by your name, for example Send as Sam. If you click Send anonymously instead, nothing links the message to you, so we can't reply.
Review and send shows the kind, the screenshot and your message. Read replies under My feedback on PugWriter.com. The My feedback link at the foot of the sheet opens it.
Click a screenshot to see it larger, then use the arrow keys to step through them.
Check it worked
- After you send, the sheet says Thank you.
- Messages you sent as yourself appear under My feedback on PugWriter.com.
Did a step not match what you saw, or not make sense? Please tell us. Click Feedback in the app and add a screenshot.
